BioSo. Who am I. Seems to be the question of the millennium, doesn't? Who am I, what makes me me, why am I here...? I can only answer part of those questions here, maybe I will be able to flesh out more as I journal. We'll see.
Okay, basic facts. I am a 43 year old woman. I live in the Midwest. I work for a non-profit agency as their website manager, a job I was promoted to after only a few months of employment. I LOVE my job. I love what I do, as well as being able to do something that makes a difference in the world other than to make someone rich. I don't sneer at making money (I love to earn enough to pay my bills, go on vacation, eat well and even go to the doctor once in a while), but working for something other than the corporate bottom-line is fulfilling to me, emotionally.
I am divorced. I have three amazing children, of which you are sure to read in my journalling, if you read it. I live with my partner of 3 years and have a complex relationship with my ex. Mostly good (we get along great, actually) but at times...challenging emotionally for me, due to how we split up. I am sure I will go over that at some point in here as well. Seems to be how I process things. When I am through with it entirely I will not have to process anymore.
I am bisexual. I am polyamorous. I live my life openly, but not loudly--I just am who I am.
I am a writer working on a novel (okay, okay, several novels) at present. I have published short erotica in a couple anthologies and hope to again in the future, though my novel is turning out to be more suspense than either romance or erotica.
I am passionate, creative & intelligent. I think I am a pretty good friend, though when I go thru my winter funk I tend to hole up and hide away from everyone. I am an optimist. I love chocolate. :-)
I have recently begun a rather intense BDSM relationship, and while I chronicle that here, I talk a lot more in-depth about the BDSM aspect in my other blog at Wordpress, also called Pieces of Jade (http://piecesofjade.wordpress.com/). Feel free to check it out, but not if you are offended easily by sex or BDSM.
